Prefabricated buildings using metal structures are being constructed everywhere. They are in demand across all sectors of construction, industry, and agriculture. They are also used in transportation and energy sectors. Products are manufactured in factories. It is important that the design, fabrication, and installation of metal structures be performed by qualified specialists, as the reliability of future buildings depends on the quality of their work.

All installation is carried out according to a developed and approved design solution. The work execution plan (WEP) outlines the technologies and requirements for their implementation. Before the main events, preparation is carried out to create the conditions necessary for high-quality installation and adherence to the work schedule.

Installation of overhead crane beams

Any such elements are installed after the columns. They are lifted to the installation point by cranes. Construction workers are present at the work sites, holding the beam in the desired position and preventing contact with already installed elements.

Pre-marked marks on the surface ensure control of lowering into the intended location. Horizontal alignment is achieved using steel spacers installed under the metal structure. Temporary anchors are provided, either small or large.

Installation of trusses

All trusses are pre-assembled, followed by the installation of assembly ladders and guy wires. The latter are used to rotate the trusses across the span of the structure and temporarily secure them. Fixation is achieved using spacers, guys, and jigs. The position of the materials is verified using axial marks on the ends.

Lifting is provided by one or two cranes. Slinging is performed at four points at the top to prevent excessive bending stresses on the rods. A semi-automatic gripper with automated control is used. If heavy loads are encountered during installation, the trusses are reinforced with steel pipes. After two adjacent structures are installed, they are connected with purlins, spacers, partitions, or braces, ensuring greater spatial rigidity of the structure.

Prior to the main activities, preparation is carried out to create the conditions necessary for high-quality installation and adherence to the work schedule.

Installation of columns

All installations are carried out on a reinforced concrete foundation or other monolithic base, the type of which depends on the weight of the metal structure. Construction crews secure them using the following methods:

Anchor bolts – metal structures are installed through special holes drilled in the base. After leveling, the anchor assembly is poured with concrete.

The foundation surface is leveled to the required level of the edge of the supporting component.

Using planed steel sheets. Concrete is used for a more secure attachment.

Due to the height and shape of the ends of the components, pre-stressing may be required. Lightly rigid braces are used, which are installed in the plane of the structure.
